We all lose our nerve as we age. There’s no getting around it. Momentum is a wonderful thing; if you’re already moving, it’s not so hard to keep it going. For instance, if you’re a hardcore business traveler and just keep traveling, it’s easier to survive on forward momentum. But the minute we stop, it can be hard to start back up again. It’s not just that you’re no longer in the groove. It’s that you realize that groove is really just a rut.
