Vinyl records... does anyone else think that the sound quality they deliver is absolutely crazy considering that it is a mechanical transmission using carved grooves.
I mean, on a really good turntable&system, a live recording can reveal subtle acoustics of the room, nuances of instruments and voices suspended in a stereo image with depth. From a little lever scratching through a groove. Incredible.
