It would appear that I, in fact, may *not* need to glitch inside Lord Jabu-Jabu; but instead I must give him fish.
Unfortunately, buying fish is impossible, as the one in the store costs an unattainable amount of 200 rupees and the fish in the world cannot be caught. I tried spamming A like in Zelda, but I could not catch any. I stabbed wildly at them but the sword clipped through them. Finally, a trick that always works: bombs. But bombs don't kill the fish either.
It is possible I am soft-locked and the game is technically over. These kinds of things happened in old untested games like these.
