When someone says they are atheist, I hear "physicalist." I think what people mean, is that they reject the commonly derided faults of conservative organized religion. But while the simple language for that is #atheism, I think they usually don't realize that what you get when you deny god in our culture is #physicalism, albeit unexamined. I would encourage my friends to set your standards in positive, inclusive terms. Setting the example is how we shift culture.
