Pragmatically, hand curating feeds to add the medium tag makes sense, especially if we're trying to build the music collection in the index.
Principally, we believe the feed is the source of truth or we don't. If we shim in tags and wallets for podcasters, we remove the incentive to find a better podcast host.
We're manipulating the free market by shimming in tags rather than incentivizing the hosts to provide superior features through the loss/gain of customers.
