I know that if I leave the phone plugged in overnight the pack is near dead in the morning even when only charging once from like 50%. So I aim to charge just long enough to bring the phone up to a useful level then unplug.
I'm an Android guy and my phone has a 4000 mAh battery. I also carry an InReach Mini.
