we allow ourselves to get so enamored with amazing people and beautiful events that we overlook corruption.
olympics is a prime example where amazing athletes performing incredible games distract millions from brutal misogyny, racism, and anti-trans systems, embedding them further in our societies.
then the games end and we wonder why there are so many hate crimes, so much domestic violence.
we each have a duty to punish evil even when it benefits us. I dislike that so many people fail this.
