They gave me a notice that my month to month lease would go up from 3.6k to 5.1k, so I let them know I was leaving.
Five minutes later I got an email with an offer to go month to month at my previous rate, because of all the layoffs.
It was a kind gesture but I have to leave anyway. I don’t think I’ll be able to find work even with a 30 day extension.
