I don’t use Wordpress because I am able to code html and css quite well, thank you, so over the years, since I came off Movable Type, I have used EE, Craft, Perch, Kirby and 11ty for my project sites. None of these platforms will have issues like WP Engine customers have today, but the issue is none of these platforms are for beginners or folk with little time. There isn’t a mass market alternative to WP, not really.
