Dreams like that leave you feeling panicky for a while, don't they.
I sometimes have dreams that one of my kids has gone missing, that I'm scrabbling around in their cot, looking for my tiny baby underneath the blankets, but they're not where I left them. Even though I remind myself once awake that it's been years since I put them down in a cot to sleep (they're in their teens and early 20s now), it takes a while for the anxiety to subside so I can go back to sleep.
Fortunately, I also have less stressful dreams, such as one the other night about potatoes. Proper Spinster dream, that :D I didn't dream of eating them though, because they were muppet potatoes that were singing.
