I read back through my old posts, sometimes. Not so much on here, where I actively try not to be (as much of) an asshole.
But, in places like reddit and youtube, I don't hold back very much.
Which brings me to my point.
Looking back through, i always regret any time I've been condescending or aggressive... even if my point was correct, my delivery was not.
The reverse is also true. Every time I've been calm, patient, empathetic, and understanding, I've been pleased with that behavior and noticed that the conversations that follow are much more pleasant and productive.
There's a not-so-subtle lesson in there.
