Mum sent me photos of her recent adventure. She took the 9 hour train from Kandy to Elle in Sri Lanka. She didn’t do the ‘hang out of the door’ trend while crossing the 9 arches bridge.

I feel so much fomo when I see the pictures - then I think about a nine hour train ride with my mum and I feel okay again. I’ll go with someone one day. Probably my brothers. They would let me hang out of the train.

In Elle they visited the Mahamevnawa Buddhist Monastery in Bandarawela.

They were in this building so high up in the mountains at one point, it looks like they were in the clouds.

Mum promised me she’d bring Buddha back for me.
