"content": "💡Idea to Boost Nostr + Lightning Growth 💡\n\nWhat Happened?\nYesterday, we ran a Zap Challenge asking a question about Nostr. The response was overwhelming, and I zapped almost everyone who provided a genuine answer as proof of work. This Zap Challenge note is now the #4 trending 24hr notes on Primal ( Nostr client App, not sure of the algo)\n\nThe Idea \nThe concept is to run similar Zap Challenges on Nostr. These challenges will feature simple questions about Nostr, Bitcoin, or Lightning. Anyone who provides a genuine answer (proof of work) will be rewarded with a few sats from a philanthropy wallet. The challenges can be held daily, every other day, or weekly.\n\nThe Benefits\nBased on the response to our recent challenge, this approach has the potential to:\n\nBoost the Nostr ecosystem's growth, adoption, and engagement.\n\nHelp discover and support newcomers who may struggle with the technical aspects of Nostr and Lightning.\n\n\nNext Steps and Challenges\nSince Christmas 2022, I’ve been experimenting with social initiatives to promote Nostr and Lightning, like paying invoices or zapping newbies. Initially, I funded the philanthropy wallet myself, but many generous supporters on Nostr later contributed.\n\nThe main challenge now is funding the Zap Challenges and man efforts.
