"content": "Image of the day is *Washi Nude #1*\na medium format nude portrait on Washi W film. \n\nAbout a year ago I met with Lomig Perrotin, of Washi film fame, and besides his whole approach to home made films which I found fascinating, one tidbit of information struck me: Lomig's initial idea of emulsion on paper was so that he could draw over photographs. I loved that idea and did various experiments with graphic artists to get them to draw on portrait negatives in 6x9. I'm not at a stage yet where I want to share any of the results, but in the meantime several of my illustrator collaborators suggested drawing over clothes and accessories was more complicated and starting with nudes would be easier. So I started shooting nudes on Washi W, and once I'd figured out how to expose this decidedly capricious film, I loved the results.
