Because a friend of mine reported this shortly after it happened to me: Anybody getting "please publish with us" spam from the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) that is wildly out-of-discipline for them?
If so, are you an academic librarian?
I'm honestly wondering if this is a cackhanded sales technique on JoVE's part. They're well-known in librarianship for being incompetent, also for abuse toward librarians.
