Let's see, how many reasons?
1.Non teaching managers ask for staff feedback and don't read them.
2. I have been a casual academic for 7 years - a position came up for a teaching fellowship and I was told I wasn't eligible to apply and later find out I was. It went to someone else.
3. The head of school doesn't understand science and argued against my PhD during my confirmation until a past head of school told him to sit down and STFU.
4. I don't get paid for every hour that I work. Even baristas get paid for every hour they work. I know. Because I used to be a barista and I wish I'd stayed there.
AND THERE ARE MANY MORE REASONS, these are just some. I wonder why I stayed for so long? #AcademicChatter
