What it does that’s bigger than just fixing tonality and timing errors is that it creates a larger sweat spot in a stereo. REW can sound as good as Dirac in one seat but the Dirac system might sound good in 2-4 seats.
The super high end RR, Bentley, and Volvo systems all use extremely complex custom Dirac software. In the Volvo it has a setting that optimizes sound for JUST the driver and one that sounds good for everyone.
