Positive reactions to #Zelda #EchoesOfWisdom massively outweigh negative ones.
Interesting how those down on the game often decry “combat with a sword” being missing, which was clearly anticipated given Aonuma’s comments.
Fighting enemies with a sword has been one of the less interesting parts of top down Zelda games, maybe since the original. Much more game design surrounds items, and they’re way more engaging.
BotW/TotK don't have “a sword” until the Master Sword, and even that has caveats.
