I feel sorry for these young people are just learning that the struggle to be accepted as a Black person is still real. However, racial identity is complex and not always determined by the self. Bi-racial people are Black because that is how society labels them whether they choose it or not. I do however agree, that the idea of what Black beauty is, is framed by privileging bi-racial physical appearance.
