If you lump all immigrants together, it's a group that's only "not-us" and they're likely to have very scarce things in common. Generalising "not us" can get dangerous, nationalistic and racist.
Often what people complain about as being an immigrant problem is actually a poverty and/or disenfranchisement problem and it's usually not their fault.
I'm an immigrant. Twice over. But I'm the "right" colour so it's cool 🤷
