lol. self serving of course! This whole thing may have come about because it's mutually beneficial for Meta AND Fedi but don't think for a split second that Meta would have done it if they didn't think they're getting the bigger advantage...who knows, they may never fully federate past this point. We all just have to wait and see, but they promised full federation by the end of the year, with Threads being able to follow Fedi accounts last.🤷‍♂️
