This is the story of all of human history. When things are easy people will become lazy, mentally as well as physically, when things are hard, people (some people, I hope I am will have the courage to be one of them) will rise to the challenge. We can never build a system or society that lasts forever, hopefully though we can build one that gives people the option to opt out, that seems to me one of the greatest strengths of the freedom tech being built.
