Bitcoin Knots filters don’t stop anything.
They reject valid transactions from your mempool—but once those transactions are mined by others, your node still downloads and verifies them to stay in consensus.
That means you’re filtering nothing, wasting bandwidth, breaking mempool compatibility, and doing double the work.
It’s not protection. It’s performative.
It gives the illusion of control while achieving nothing technically—and fractures the network in the process.
That’s not decentralization. That’s a psyop.
