I feel slightly bad about my rant - I really do like FreeBSD, and I have been excited to use it, and I probably will end up building electron overnight so that I can have Signal Desktop (VS Code though? I'm not sure - I haven't yet found an IDE other than PyCharm that I like for Python).
If I didn't like FreeBSD or want it to grow so that more people could appreciate it, I wouldn't be frustrated - I'd just use Linux.
I guess it's time for me to see if I can help...
