Home Assistant set-up continues this weekend. I’m still getting over the flu bug I had last week and my partner is currently in bed with it, so what better way to spend the time?
About half the Zigbee devices have been transferred, all the radiators are in as are all the Sonos speakers, and I’ve installed the Ubiquiti plugin to see what that can do for me as well. I’ve successfully integrated the IR blaster so it now takes genuinely one click to turn on the TV and surround sound, with the TV on a specific HDMI input (1 or 2).
Some of the automations in the old system have been duplicated in the new.
I’ve also discovered the joy of firmware updates over Zigbee, which are painfully slow (but at least possible for some types of device).
