My thinking about ‘replacing twi**er’ has evolved. Nothing has replaced twitter for me as a news pre-filter or an academic network. I feel poorer for it; I’m sympathetic to people in many communities who say they need it. But it’s being torched; eventually its increased toxicity will stop serving folks.
Disinformation is bad(!!), and I’m beginning to think it is a good thing that news orgs are being forced to detach from the social media universe.
