How do we go from fearless, creative kids who make up stories in seconds to adults with writer’s block spend hours doing anything at all but writing?
I’ve been trying to flex my long-dormant writing muscles recently, but man are they stiff.
Or I’m just prejudging potential avenues before they even get laid down. “That won’t go anywhere” “that’s not original” “that’s not realistic” “uninteresting”
It doesn’t help that when I do successfully jot something down, I tend to not like it 😅 I used to enjoy the stuff I made right away… probably just need to keep flexing
