Relatedly, having deployed a ton of Wordpress sites over the years, it always feels like the *number* of files is the thing that makes uploading slow, not the *size* of the files. Or maybe it’s the process of getting the state of each directory?
I’ll need to do some research, but I wonder if concatenating entire libraries into a single file is faster? (Obviously rewriting any include statements.) Certainly it’s easier.
