quoting note1kw2…ajh5Added another track on wavlake (npub1yfg…v6vg) from my personal music project, Hujai, which is kind of on pause at the moment.
The name “Hujai” came to me during a mushroom trip in my room a while back. I used to grow mushrooms myself, and the trips I’ve had have been really interesting - to say the least - giving me some really meaningful insights. I remember sitting on the floor, painting and playing guitar, as the mushroom was speaking to me.
This track came out of that experience.
The recording was made later on with my friend John on drums (who was also in my other band, Big Awesome, which also has tracks on Wavelake). Recording was done live in Johns bedroom with two room mics.
My favorite part is the chorus and bridge in the middle of the song—it brings me back to that trip, a mix of sadness, peace, and beauty that still gives me goosebumps. Use headphones if you have them.
