It’s not something I really enjoy and I don’t think I’m great at it but I do what I can. Others think I’m good at it. But not of my preferences or choice. I think that is an adjustment I made in 2008 when my son came to my home and here we still are.
You and I both make extra efforts to feed the family and it is definitely appreciated. My son in the last year finally gained weight after so many years of being way too skinny. 82 pounds mostly from 2017 to 2024 and now suddenly at 112°! Magically it coincides with fewer ER trips and hospitalizations. I do think continuing to make a variety of foods for your husband is good. He may have ups and downs in appetite, very understandable.
Btw, my only actual advice is to watch out for your back. I was not good enough caring for my safety in lifting, so everything is harder now—go get that help when you can!
