There are some who say boosting your own posts is bad form. I disagree. There's no algorithm on Mastodon that drives the viewing of posts, so when you post, others will see it & some others will not. You now become your own "algorithm." You can boost and even boost again and again if you believe what you have posted is worth others seeing and, of course, some folks are on in the morning and others in the evening, etc. The "don't boost your own posts rule" sounds like something from another site.
