The 2 state issue was because of #UK double dealing in 1916, where the #BalfourDeclaration promised a #Jewish home, but the #Arabs were also promised an #Islamic state in return for their support in fighting the Ottoman Empire in WWI.
When both Arabs & Jews came to cash their chips in, neither were satisfied with the British compromise, & here we are 108 years later still dealing with the ramifications of 1 country promising another country a 3rd country that neither owned! 🙄
