It pretty much happens every time: a new tech starts attracting talented people (and VC $), they hype the shit out of it with buzzwords and false promises, then there’s backlash and dismissal of the whole new space from the people who don't believe the hype. But just because there's hype doesn't mean theres something fundamentally wrong with the tech
