Talk of the love we have for The Breakfast Club and the young people I know (14-20ish) mostly say, no thanks. They don't like the absence of consent (the scene with Molly Ringwald & the table) and some other problematic themes.
I don't believe it's fair or right to say "the kids today will make a better world" -- we have to do that for them (and with them) -- and at the same time, there's so much good in the younger generations. They are my heroes in so many ways.
