Thinking of the church I was raised in. Girls were made to dress "modestly."
Cover up, don't show skin.
Because that was God's will for young ladies growing into godly women of wisdom.
And we should want to avoid being a "stumbling block" for the boys, our "brothers."
It annoyed me then.
It enrages me now.
GIRLS AND WOMEN ARE NOT TOOLS FOR USE IN THE SOCIO-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF BOYS AND MEN.
Forcing us to make ourselves happily available for this purpose renders us LESS than human.
