"content": "German historian of mathematics Moritz Cantor was born #OTD in 1829.\n\nCantor's inaugural dissertation, \"Über ein weniger gebräuchliches Coordinaten-System\" (1851), gave no indication that the history of exact sciences would soon be enriched by a master work by him. His first important work was \"Über die Einführung unserer gegenwärtigen Ziffern in Europa\". His greatest work was Vorlesungen über Geschichte der Mathematik (in 4 vols.).\n\nhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moritz_Cantor\n\n#books #mathematics\nhttps://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/113/010/708/541/284/675/original/2dada2096a43d2d3.jpg\n",
