If you think I don’t understand something, you can say that. Talking about me personally isn’t irrelevant. I do understand and how US law works. It’s what the courts choose. In terms of interpretation.
I’m sure you understand the difference between “the people” and a person. A person who break laws may have rights removed. They may merely be incarcerated, or they may even lose their life. They clearly aren’t allowed guns in prison. Even before a criminal conviction, a court may actually put a gag order on an individual during due process, although this is rare. It comes down to risk of harm. If the courts determine harm may result, they can remove the rights guaranteed in the constitution from an individual. This is not removing rights of the people as a group.
