I am unfamiliar with a lot of modern uk history. Can you give me context for when/where this was happening? The photo is amazing. Judging by clothes, I’d guess this to be late 60s, early 70s? Similar pictures in the US in that period had young people lining up against armed guards, but pre Kent State, Americans didn’t think cops would open fire on civilians, so there was a lot more sticking flowers in the guns, general disregard of the danger in the us psyche at the time.
These folks look like they know the kid with the gun might fire, and they still think they can take him.
