I type unless my hand is itching for the pen that day.
Pardon if I sound hipster or something, I do suggest everyone periodically do some writing by hand or typewriter. Even if its only a 300 word short story or handful of badly executed haikus. There's something about analog writing that makes the mind move and think differently.
