I'm interested in the environmental impact of ChatGPT.
Specifically, I'm interested in the impact of processing prompts (i.e. I'm not interested in the training impact - not because it doesn't matter, but because it isn't what I'm researching at the moment).
I assume these environmental impacts will be mostly water and energy consumption, as well as carbon emissions.
And I'm interested in numbers, backed by factual research, that I could quote.
Does anyone have any good sources on this?
My googleing leads me mostly to articles that essentially boil down to 'it's bad’ (which I know), ‘but we don't know how bad’ (which is understandable but not helpful to me at this time).
