The reality is - crypto will ultimately track and enslave more people than it liberates. Give it another 10+ years, you won’t recognize it.
It will be full of people (who previously espoused the virtues of freedom, sticking it to the banks & intermediaries) actively promoting CBDCs, debanking, social credit and biometric state IDs. It will be sold as something hip and innovative, but when you strip it all away, those will be the underlying properties.
Look at what “the social web” did to the trajectory of the “open web”. All Web 2.0 gave us is walled gardens, censorship and surveillance capital.
At this point, I just hope web 4.0 is everyone shutting the fuck up.
