I started filing my own taxes when I was 15. Stuck with it, and grew from there. I feel like I’m semi-retired, because I’m not a wage slave, I’m my own boss, and I enjoy what I do. Since I set my own pay and hours, I can focus on other things more important than work like my faith, family or #gardening and all that combined allows me to be a more interesting and well rounded person.
I have good emotional health, because I don’t feel like a cog in their machine. What I do actually increases the GDP. Other people shuffle papers around offices all day. All that does is kill trees. I create tangible things, and enrich others and when I do that it enriches my mind. Every day is a new adventure.
I’m an #autodidact so I’ll never stop learning. I’m learning right now. I can learn on nostr, I can learn from a conversation at a restaurant. If you think you need just 4-6 years of higher education, you’re probably a boring person that needs to touch grass.
Appeal to authority is fallacy. Always has been, but some people forgot. If you need an embossed piece of paper and crushing debt to feel important, more power to ya!
