"content": "We checked the roads before deciding whether to leave #AshevilleNC on Friday morning as the wind and rain died down. Otherwise, we could be delayed for days. \n\nThe two major highways out were clear, unlike secondary roads, so we left quickly.\n\nUpon leaving, GPS re-routed us away from our preferred direction East. Interstate 40 had just flooded.\n\nSo, South it was. Just minutes out, we witness the French Broad River overtop I-24.
