As I see it there are two large problems to meaningful gun law changes: a very vocal and motivated public (some of which have no problems becoming violent particularly if their \"freedoms\" are threatened by evil commies or whatever they're hyped up on), and a right wing SCOTUS that will gut most efforts. One is cultural and shifts slowly, but can shift. The other is also very slow to change, and I don't see much will in elected officials to make drastic changes to SCOTUS size/composition or limiting terms.",
