I specifically recall Ratzinger saying to the press that he wanted to clean out the 'cultural Catholics' and only leave the conservative ones, even if it meant a smaller church. John Paul II and Ratzinger are the reason one of the largest religious groups in the world is the group know as 'Former Catholics'. #Catholic",
