see i don't see it that way, I was raised Mormon after my dad wanted his kids to have morals. I was 11, and until 17 went to church basically every weekend, and to the temple on several occasions
for me, the thing that got me out of it was that mormonism doesn't fundamentally explain anything. it says, this world was created by a god.... who is originally from another world ruled by another god... and so on. This doesn't explain where the universe comes from, and is much worse than the typical Christian answer of "ex nihilo" or "from nothing".
