IIRC the category differences are mostly about twist and shielding, focused on communication performance. Whereas the gauge matters for amperage, I don’t think the category makes a difference. An ultra thin Cat6A will be able to power less than a building-grade 5e. Cat6A makes sense for future proof but make sure it’s 23 AWG (most riser- or plenum-rated cables should be) and solid copper. I’ve got Cat6 all over handling 10-15W POE no problem.
