Justice is a function of law and law is a function of power. When chattel slavery was legal in much of the world, a slave was committing a crime by escaping and the bounty hunter or slave patrol that captured the slave and returned them to the plantation was delivering "justice". Justice relies on what is legal, not what is right. Food is a basic human right stealing it shouldn't be a crime. Disenfranchising the people from access to the land and therefor the ability to get food without paying an oligarch for it should be the crime.
