Privileged folk do this ALL THE TIME and will even be hired for senior jobs with zero relevant experience. Typically their playbook is finding someone junior to them to actually do the job they were hired for.
You can pick things up, for coding work there are typically tons of free online resources, do not opt out of opportunities because it's something you've never done before.
