Since every SF mayor candidate has committed to running on MOAR COPS (even though the Doom Loop is last year's discourse), let me just point out that around 80% of all crimes involve cars. Infrastructure to slow down cars is anti-crime. And it's way cheaper than cops. Less racist too.
